Attendance

If a student misses a lesson, it constitutes a loss to the student and the instructor. It cannot be made up, and the tuition for the missed lesson is forfeited. Tardy students will not be compensated, but will receive only the remainder of their allotted time; however, should an instructor be unable to attend a lesson, the lesson will be covered by a staff instructor or rescheduled at the student's convenience.
Consistent attendance will aid in musical success; so do not skip class because you have not practiced enough or because your child does not want to come. These fluctuations of interest are perfectly normal and should not signal an end to the musical training of you and your child. If you are uncomfortable with any aspect of the lesson, please discuss it with the Director before you make any decision to stop valuable musical instruction. If it becomes necessary to terminate lessons, please give the Conservatory one month's notice. The conservatory will be closed on days when D.C. Public Schools are closed or due to inclement weather.
